Lingfield 2:30 – Class 4 Handicap Hurdle 2m

Seamus Mullins’ gelding was due to run last week at Lingfield but the meeting fell foul to the overnight frost.

Steel City, a nine year old grey gelding trained by Seamus Mullins, finished 3rd over course and distance last month. The winner Pure Vision has since gone on to finish 2nd in a better class race.

Running of a mark of 111 with a 10lb claimer on board, if his jumping is a tad more fluent I’d like to think Steel City can go very close!

Steel City 5/1 ew, 1 Point

Lingfield 2:20 – Class 3 Handicap Hurdle 2m

This mare was extremely disappointing on her hurdles debut last month at Wetherby, she looked extremely keen and really wasn’t fluent in her jumping before falling at the last.

However, the Nipper’s bumper form is very useful, with Colin’s Sister (the horse behind The Nipper on her listed bumper success) currently undefeated over hurdles with the latest coming in a listed race.

Warren Greatrex think’s very highly of his mare and I think she is better than her latest showing.

The Nipper 11/8, WIN, 2 Points

Wolverhampton 4:10 – Class 6 Handicap 1m1f103y

Captain Courageous ran with some promise on his handicap debut, now upped in trip and running off the same mark, he should be bang there!

The horse in 4th that day has gone onto win twice since as well as the horse in 6th placing and winning in his next two races.

Captain Courageous, 6/4 WIN, 2 Points
